Place to stay in Hoedspruit
Mist of Gold
Adults-only log cabins in a garden setting in Hoedspruit town, some self-catering, with a pool and braai area. A simple base for the Kruger and Blyde River Canyon.
Mist of Gold is a small, owner-run set of log cabins in a garden in Hoedspruit, a lowveld town in Limpopo below the Drakensberg escarpment. It is a no-fuss overnight base rather than a safari lodge: you sleep here and drive out to the Kruger or the Blyde River Canyon during the day.
What to expect
The log cabins sit in a quiet garden, each with air-conditioning, a fridge and satellite TV, and towels and bedding are supplied. Some cabins are self-catering with small kitchenettes. Outside there is a swimming pool and a braai area, and the units are serviced daily. The hosts live on site.

Good to know
