Aquamarine Guest House

Aquamarine is a small guesthouse in central Mossel Bay, with views across the water to the Outeniqua mountains from most rooms. It is on the main street, a practical overnight stop on the Garden Route, and close enough to Santos beach that you can leave the car parked.

What to expect

Rooms range from honeymoon suites with large private balconies to standard doubles. Most look out to sea; the two standard side rooms face the garden instead, so ask for a sea-facing room if the view matters. All are en-suite with queen beds, satellite TV, tea and coffee things, and a bar fridge. Breakfast is a cooked English one, served on the patio by the pool or in the dining room overlooking the bay.

• Secure off-street parking behind a remote-controlled gate.
• Free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and braai facilities on request.
• Check-in 2pm to 8pm, check-out by 11am, with exceptions by arrangement.
• Children aged 13 and over are welcome; ask about younger children, as only some rooms suit them.
• George Airport is about 45 km away.

Good to know

Santos, a Blue Flag beach, is about a 10 minute walk away. The two standard rooms without a sea view are the ones to avoid if you are booking for the bay.
